The Black Coat

  • The Black Coat

The Black Coat is America's first superspy! Set in New York City in the days before the Revolutionary War, The Black Coat fights against the British and forces of the occult to protect the burgeoning nation. It's action packed fun that Chuck Dixon calls "...my kind of comics!"

The fine podcasters over at Pittsburgh Comics (http://pittsburghcomics.com) have been singing the praises of Francesco Francavilla (BC co-creator) and gave a shout-out to the Black Coat. Thanks for the mention guys and keep up the great work!

Here’s a link to the podcast (Discussion starts around the 34:00 mark): PODCAST

The Black Coat will once again have a presence at the annual Pittsburgh Comic-con. This year’s show will be held the weekend of April 15-17, at the Monroeville Convention Center. In more “same-bat” news, we’ll be at booth S089, pretty much the same spot as last year. It should be a lot of fun and we look forward to seeing everyone  - new friends or old. Ben will be there all weekend signing books and doing sketches. Be sure to stop by!!

Hey everyone! If you’re headed to the New York City comic-con this weekend (10/8-10/10), or just thinking about going, here are 2 great reasons to get your ticket punched. Black Coat: Or Give Me Death series artist Dean Kotz will be in artists alley and so will Black Coat: Heart of Ice and cover artist Gabriel Hardman! Be sure to stop by and say ‘hello’ to both of them. And be sure to pick up a print or a book while you’re there!

Be sure to check out more of their artwork as well. Here are some links:

I wanted to post a special thanks to Ian and the rest of the blokes at Uncanny Comics in Worthing, West Sussex in the UK! They’ve been big fans and great supporters of The Black Coat from day one. I sent Ian a pinup a little while back and, despite the Black Coat’s status as a rebel yank, they hung it in the store’s front window! Cool!

If you’re in the area, be sure to stop in and pick up all the latest BC books while you grab the rest of your monthly haul.
And if you’re not in the area, swing by their website and check them out anyway: http://www.uncannycomics.co.uk/

Thanks guys!
